As 2017 comes to a close, it is really a great time to reflect on the past year and what a year it has been for the team at The Print Group Australia!
A big welcome to all our new clients that have joined us over the past year and a big thank you to our long term clients who continue to help the business grow!
The Print Group Australia has really bloomed this year and we have been busy working on a number of projects. We have really found a niche market with printing training materials and as such launched a new business earlier this year called The Resource Vault. The Resource Vault develops training resources for the Vocational Education & Training Industry, which are all designed and printed by The Print Group Australia.
We have also had amazing growth with our other business – Padtastic Personalised Notepads, all due to the power of social media! The LBD Planners and personalised notepads and notebooks have been a big hit, which again are all designed and printed by The Print Group Australia.
We really are a close knit team here at The Print Group Australia, so wanted to share with you a little more about who we are!
Read MoreThere is something about a printed book that I just cannot give up. Well before I worked in the print industry, I had a deep connection with books and reading. One of my favourite memories as a child, is finding a shady spot under a tree in our front yard with a picnic blanket, my dog and a really good book. The fresh air, the smell of freshly cut grass and a book that I simply could not put down. I would spend hours reading. I find as an adult, that when I pick up a good book, that nostalgia kicks in and you will find me reading in any corner of the house with my nose in a book, deep in concentration and completely in a world of my own.
There is just something about holding a book in your hand and the act of physically turning a page that really cannot be matched with words on a screen. Books have a physical beauty, they are tangible and they engage multiple senses – a book is something you can hold, feel and even smell.
Books have been around for a very long time and people generally have a deeper relationship with books over digital formats like e-books. I personally, have struggled to read e-books and always revert back to good ‘ol paperbacks.
So today, I wanted to give you 8 reasons why reading a real book is better than e-book:

It’s important to develop a unique identity and value proposition to set your business apart from your competitors. While it’s obviously important to offer a quality product and/or service, effective branding is at the core of companies that succeed and thrive.

Read MoreTwo Sides Australia is an organisation whose goal is to promote “the sustainability of the graphic communications industry and dispel common environmental misconceptions by providing users with verifiable information on why print and paper is an attractive, practical and sustainable communications medium” (1). They recently commissioned an international study in June, 2017 which surveyed 10,700 people from 10 countries. One of these countries was Australia and their report “Print and Paper in a Digital World – An Australian survey of consumer preferences, attitudes and trust” offers some interesting insight into what Australians really think about print.
It is also important to note that the survey collected responses from 1,030 Australians, with individuals that work in the printing, paper, or like industries were excluded from the survey.
The report explored in further detail:
Read MoreThe Print Group Australia offer a variety of design and print services for Education and Training organisations and our custom designed foiled and embossed certificates are a very popular product at the moment. For many training organisations, ensuring that the certificates they issue to their students are secure is becoming increasing important from a compliance point of view.
The Print Group Australia’s graphic design studio can custom design your certificates so they are unique to your organisation and also assist in reducing fraudulent reproduction.
We recommend branding and designing the certificates with your logo and watermark and our design team typically offer a variety of concept designs for you to choose from. The foiled or embossed stamp can be designed in any shape or size needed with important and unique information such as your logo, rto number or unique design element. We have many foil colours available, with silver and gold being the most popular. Some training organisations also like to have the added security of our anti-copy watermarked background. The anti-copy background will appear with a “copy” watermark on the background when photocopied or scanned.
