Here are our tips for creating effective brochures:

1. Colour gives you a much better response to black and white printing. Spend the extra to see more of a return.
2. Personalise your mail-out. The Print Group Australia can personalise each brochure or flyer with the name of each contact from your database – it’s been proven these types of print materials have better cut-through than standard brochures.
3. Include a call to action – it’s no point producing a beautiful glossy brochure if you don’t encourage its recipients to buy the product or service you’re offering. If you include a link to your website, make sure the page has all the info they need to book/buy.
4. Print on both sides of the paper. You may as well include as much info as you can – it only costs around 1/3 more to print double instead of single-sided pages.
5. Don’t overdo the content. Having made the point above, don’t make your brochure or mail-out too content-heavy. Use bullet points to break up your text and find out what your customers want then offer them a solution for it.
6. Proof read. While we do pick up on some mistakes sometimes during the production process, the onus is on you, our customer, to check for any spelling or other errors. We can and do take care of the graphic design component for many of our clients but again, spelling and grammar needs to be finalised and checked by you.
7. Choose a quality paper. This is a good way to impress the quality of your product without spending a lot of money.
8. Uncoated paper stocks give the impression of eco-consciousness.
9. Get professional graphic design. Our experienced graphic designers can assist with the artwork for your project and the difference between a professional job over one that’s not, is night and day.
10. Create your mail-out to a standard size such as DL (or more accurately 1/3 of an A4) rather than A4 – it’s more cost-effective to post and letterbox drops.
